The Northern Pairs event at Heckmondwike went ahead with 10 teams on Sunday in glorious sunshine. Sue & Pauline (the Soup) played brilliantly and won 3 of their 5 games. Sally and Roy (The Udders) played well but did not manage a win. Not surprisingly the Lucky Chuckers won the event as the only team to get 5 wins.

It was a great day’s petanque and we all enjoyed it immensley. Felt good to be there as a ‘team’ too in our great club polo shirts. Everyone should get one! Other kit on the way soon – watch this space.
