Two events at the end of October need your support. One is for a good cause – The Stroke Association – and one is for members to socialise and raise some money for Club Funds.
Thursday afternoon at 1pm on 29th October is our Give a Hand event on behalf of The Stroke Association. We’ll be playing 3 round melee but the first round will be played with your “other hand” as stroke victims often lose the use of one hand.
There will be a £3 entry fee which includes a raffle ticket and all proceeds will go to the Stroke association. Winner will receive a trophy to keep and 2 next best will receive medals.
Friday evening 30th October at 7-30 in Marsh Club there will be a quiz night for members and friends including a pie & peas supper. There will be several quizzes on the night some based on your TV favourites. Some will be individual like Huddersfield’s version of 15 to 1. After supper there will be monster quiz for teams of 4. Entry fee will be £5 per person. There will be a licensed bar and a a raffle.
We hope you can attend one or both of these events. There will be posters in the Clubhouse. Please let a committee member know if you want to attend either. Limit for both events is 40 people.
