Today’s Club Pairs was played in rather different conditions to last Tuesday’s West Yorks Cup match. the temperature was 20+ degrees cooler and we had rain, rain, and more rain. However 14 pairs braved the inclement weather and we had quite a long break between games 2 and 3. At least no triple and no bye.
The last game was going to provide the winner with Nell/Brendan playing Maureen/Sue, both on 2 wins – all the others back in the Clubhouse had lost a game.
Finally Nell/Brendan won with 3 wins +10, second was Maureen/Sue with 2 wins +8 and third Andy S partnering our potential new member Phil 2 wins +6 – a very creditable performance for a new player.
It was nice that all pairs achieved a least 1 win.
