You couldn’t play petanque in Kirklees until recently when Heckmondwike Petanque Club started in Firth Park. It proved a phenomenal success story. People loved it.
In mid August the terrain in Heckmondwike had two visitors from Huddersfield who wanted to establish a terrain in a Huddersfield park.
In September meetings were held and in October plans began to be drawn up. This blog charts the progress of this project. We hope in a few months to open up membership and start playing. Follow us; bookmark this page.
